If you would like to request a commission, I will require the following information:
- The type of animal you would like me to sculpt.
- What colour(s) you would like the animal to be.
- The approximate size you would like it when framed (you can reference one of my previous pieces).
- If you have a photograph you would like me to work from, please include this in your email.
Once I have received the above information I will come up with a handful of designs for you to chose from. Once a design has been chosen, I will sculpt it for you, and keep you up to date with photos of my progress. If you desire any alterations it can be incorporated into the piece prior to moulding.
Once moulded your piece will be cast and painted as per your instructions. After painting has finished your piece will go to the Ashwell Gallery for framing (at this stage frame and background colour will be discussed, I am happy to offer suggestions). If you would like to frame the piece yourself that is fine and framing cost will be deducted.
As you can imagine this is a long process (the framers alone request 2 weeks as they need to order the woods). I ideally like to have a 2 month lead time, so if this is a gift for a specific date please bare this in mind.
If you would like a one-off bespoke piece please contact me to discuss pricing. If you are happy for your piece to be one in a limited edition series of 25 sculptures (where the colour scheme would likely differ from your particular design), the average price is around £250 depending on your specification (larger sizes would incur a larger cost due to the materials and the extra sculpting time required).
Please go to My Contact Page to email me with any questions or inquiries. I will reply to you via email, at which time you can attach any reference photographs etc.
